We start out in Porto attempting to follow a Frommer's Guidebook walking tour. I've been extremely disappointed with the quality of Frommer's recommendations and guidebook intelligence. However, we start by following Frommer's and take a taxi to this church (I am totally bored with Christian churches. No more..) .then I got totally lost trying to follow the stupid book...Fortunately Mrs. Phred knew exactly how to thread the way though the narrow alleys of old Porto...
We walk down ancient narrow alleys from the church to the Duoro River waterfront.
It seems like a good idea, so we buy tickets that include a riverboat tour, a visit to a Port wine cellar and two days on a "hop on, hop off" Porto yellow bus.
Even some of the derelict buildings have lovely tile work in front.
Eventually we stop for lunch.What a happy face....
